At the Under 12s level, players at Mistley Rugby Club continue to build on their rugby knowledge and abilities, taking a big step forward in their development. This year, the scrum increases from 3 to 5 players, giving players more experience in the set piece, while rucks and mauls now allow unlimited support players, promoting teamwork and game awareness.
Another exciting development is the introduction of handing off (fending), helping players refine their attacking and defensive skills. This is also the first age group where boys and girls form separate teams, allowing for focused development while continuing to promote inclusivity and fun.
